First Day on Galapogos

We arrived early in the morning in the airport, boarded a bus to the peer to be greeted by the local animal welcoming party!

The first thing we saw were the Blue Footed Boobies nose diving vertically into the water and coming out with fish!! Class, will try to get some footage - its quite spectacular!! As i went over to take a closer look - i entered the picture on the right from the left hand side, so i was coming around the corner looking in the air at the birds diving in! Jusr at t the corner i noticed this baby sea lion sleeping, i was 4cms from putting my foot on his head -- very close call, everyboday had a good laugh when i shouted "Judas priest" as i got the fright of my life!!!
After getting my bearings back i waked down close to the water where there were Marine Iguanas crawling on the rocks surrounded my lots and lots of Sally Lightfoot crabs - its was amazing - i didnt know where to look!!



After we got to our boat the "Poseidon" and met the other passengers and crew, had a yummy lucnh and were whisked away to go snorkling here on one of the islands - never saw so many tropical fish in my life!!

And we´re off to the Galapogos Islands off Ecuador to see lots of wildlife!!
