Day 1 - Day of Many Flights
ZZZZZZZZ I´m so tired, got to the airport at 8am for our flight to Dumpland at 9am, checked in no problem and played with Kiely in the glass lifts until we got our boarding call - that boy has so much energy in the mornings!!!
10 am - arrive in Dublin to learn our flight to Milan has been cancelled and Alitalia( our Airline to Buenos Aires) are on strike and have cancelled 240 flights....................today....of all days!!
Holy Cr@p!!!
We go to the Alitalia ticket desk but there is nobody there and it doesnt open for another 30 mins!! Fortunately a nice lady with Air France saves the day and gets some one to call over to us - she explained all the other passengers were informed of the strike and have been sent through an alternative route!
The nice guy with Alitalia advises us we have to go through Paris to get to Milan!! Giving us a grand total of 4 flights in one day!! Holy Cr@p!!!
he advises us to check our baggage to Milan instead of all the way to be safe, however when we say this to the guy at the checkin desk he sends them to Buenos Aires anyway and put us in opposite sides of the plane, in the only window seats without a window!! Fortunately neal charms a nice old lady into swapping!!
The flight was a nightmare, 13 hours zero, legroom and a gaggle of screaming babies around us!!
